SEPTEMBER 2006

Sept. 17 - WORLD/INFERNO presents "Peter Lorre's Twentieth Century" @ Spiegeltent
Fulton Fish Market @ South St. Seaport
New York, NY

New York's own World/Inferno Friendship Society returns from a national tour to premiere "Fiend in Wien: Peter Lorre's Twentieth Century", punk rock song cycle in twelve parts in which the life of the iconic character actor is traced from his birth in the Carpathian Mountains in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, through street life in Vienna, to Weimar Berlin, minor success in Hollywood, and his return to then-East Germany to work with Berthold Brecht, where he died in 1964. Originally intended, and partially completed, as a follow-up to their "True Story of the Bridgewater Astral League" musical, the Inferno have picked up and knuckled down to finish the damn thing.

The disturbingly cult-like globetrotting punk orchestra from Brooklyn is pleased to present this examination of the much-overlooked yet beloved figure, in song.

About Spiegeltent: "From their beginnings in Belgium at the turn of the last century, these iconic tents have been traveling the world as part of arts festivals and fairs. The famous and the infamous have performed in these hallowed halls. Made from finest teak and beveled mirrors, and looked after lovingly by a small band of owners, these exceptional venues have never failed to enthrall, delight, surprise and seduce. See for yourself."

September 18: WORLD/INFERNO on Bro'in Out @ Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre
307 W. 26th St.
NYC

Inferno will be appearing on a "live talk show" at the UCB Theatre. With Chris Parnell of SNL.

"Somewhere between "The Dick Cavett Show" and "After Dark with Hugh Hefner" lies "Bro'In Out with Leo & Tony." In this live talk/variety show, host Leo Allen and 'sidekick' Tony Camin welcome real celebrity guests for a straight up talk show with booze, swearing, sketches and music.

Hosts: Leo Allen (Slovin & Allen)
Tony Camin ("The Marijuana-logues")
Bartender: Jawnee Conroy"

OCTOBER 2008
10-4 FRANZ NICOLAY @ 2nd Annual Punk-y Camping Trip & Acoustic Show
Floyd Bennett Field, Goldenrod Campground
Brooklyn, New York
Description: Tunes @ 9, camping whenever. Music from: Neil Sutherland (UK), Erik Petersen (Mischief Brew), Franz Nicolay, Polka Madre (Mexico), Emilyn Brodsky, PJ and Gaby (UK), Dos Tornadoes, The 241ers, and much more.
Bring: Food to share, tent and sleeping bags, drinking water bug repellent (unless it's cold enough to keep 'em away), friends, $5 to kick in for the camping permit and British musicians. Booze is allowed but no glass bottles. We gotta bring our trash with us. Please no people intent on hurting the trees or molesting the raccoons. Firewood and cooking water are already there. Floyd Bennett Field is on south Flatbush Ave. just before the bridge to Far Rockaway, and the entrance is open 24 hours. If you get stopped by park police coming in just tell them youÕre going to the campground. There is a map here, and the campground is denoted by two little tent signs (marked "permit") above the central "X" of the runways, above Ryan Visitor Center.
Public Transit: Take the 2 train to Flatbush Ave/Brooklyn College. Catch a Q35 bus south on Flatbush (towards Rockaway Park), and get off across from Ryan Visitor Center and Floyd Bennett Field, opposite the marina, after you start to see sports fields and hangars on your left. Enter Floyd Bennett in front of the Ryan Visitor Center, a weird squat little building that used to have the airport's observation tower on it. If the main gate is closed there is a cut in the wrought iron fence about 100 feet to the left. Proceed past the visitor's center going directly away from Flatbush. After the visitor center parking lot cross the main road and keep going straight on a runway that's a little to the right of where you came in. It should say towards Hangar B or something like that. After about 10 or 15 minutes of walking there'll be some trees on your left, and a garbage can, and probably some cars. We're in there.
